The Company Forest Glen Bears are situated in the heart of the New Forest in Hampshire. My bear making began in the summer of2000, after I bought a bear kit. Not satisfied with the finished product I decided to create my own design. I began by first experimenting with artificial fur before taking the plunge with my first piece of mohair. I modified the design until I came up with the basic design for the bears you see today. Individual characteristics soon followed but I try to make two things consistent - a full tummy and a cheeky grin - no Forest Glen Bear is complete without them! All of my bears of completely hand-crafted. I never use a sewing machine. The bears are made from the highest quality mohair - predominantly Schulte mohair. I usually make one-off bears or small limited edition ranges - generally no more than five bears in a range to ensure they are unique. I have a couple of open-edition ranges e.g. the Wedding Collection, which are featured on their own special page. It's easy to adopt of Forest Glen Bear. Ordering a Bear If you would like to order a bear, simply complete the order form on the Contact Us page. The form provides all of the information that you need to order a bear. Payment On the order form there are 2 payment options available. You can either pay any major credit or debit card via the Paypal system, in which case I will send you an e-mail invoice to initiate payment or you can opt to send either a cheque or postal order, made payable to Forest Glen Bears to the address shown at the bottom of this page. In either case, for UK orders please add £3.00 to cover the cost of postage and packing. For orders outside the UK please add £5.00. When I receive your on-line order form I will send you an order confirmation. Your bear will be despatched when I receive the paypal payment or cheque/postal order.
